IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carrie Mae
Wyke
February 10, 1935 – December 17, 2025
Carrie Mae Wyke was born on February 10, 1935, in McNairy County, Guys, Tennessee, to the late Will Luster, Sr. and Vassie Campbell Milton Luster. She peacefully departed this life on December 17, 2025. Carrie was a faithful member of Berea Church of Christ in Guys, Tennessee. She was known for her kind heart, loving spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. Carrie truly loved people and spent her life serving others in any way she could. Her favorite place was Walmart, which she often referred to as her second home and second family. Carrie had a deep love for poetry and enjoyed reciting poems from her youth through her golden years. She never met a stranger and had a nurturing spirit that made everyone she encountered feel like family. She was a mother to everyone she met. Carrie was an avid cook who found great joy in feeding others. She welcomed family and friends into her home and delighted in preparing meals for anyone who stopped by. The more people gathered, the happier she was. She treasured fellowship and time spent with loved ones. Carrie met and married the late James Everette Wyke, and together they shared a remarkable and loving marriage. From this union, thirteen children were born, and she devoted her life to raising and caring for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four children, James Michael Wyke (Julia), Allen Lamar Wyke (Thressa), Frederick Todd Wyke, and William Elmer Wyke; her siblings, Bertha Mae Luster, Matthew Luster, Sr., John Osten Milton, Annie Mae Milton Burns, Lura Jean Luster Patterson, and Alice Faye Luster Burns; along with many other beloved relatives and friends who went on before her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children: Earl Donald (Novenna) Wyke, Richard O'Neal Wyke, Darrell Gene Wyke, Aleix Arnell Wyke, Jeffery Wayne Wyke, David Randolph Wyke, Shannon Lee (Victoria) Wyke, Deborah Kay (Curtis) Porter, and her "13th son", Danny Crockett; one brother, Will (Debra) Luster, Jr.; two daughters in law, Lana and Lori Wyke; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
