Pastor Chester Cox was born Saturday, April 02, 1960 in Hardeman County to the late Please and Lois Cox. He was called home on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and 1 day at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Pastor Cox attended Bolivar Central High School in Bolivar, TN. He worked for Quinco Mental Health Center and also for Southwest HRA transportation. Pastor Cox attended Bible College where he received his Masters degree in Theology and Ministry. He served as pastor of House of Refuge Church in Bolivar, TN and was a member of Tennessee Sixth Jurisdiction T. L. Westbrook Memorial District, Clarksville, TN. Pastor Cox was a God fearing man who loved to tell people about Jesus and salvation. He was a great husband and friend who enjoyed fishing, cooking, and watching Westerns on T.V. and most of all, spending time with his wife , Brenda.

Pastor Cox was also preceded in death by: two brothers, Willie Be Cox and Odell Cox; two sisters, Rosie Cox and Carolyn Cox; a stepson, Trane Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  his loving wife, Brenda Lee Robinson Cox of Crump, TN; his God daughter, Constance McCarley of Nashville, TN; six siblings, Mary Ann King and Eddie Lee Cox of Humboldt, TN, Virginia Murphy, Freddy Cox, and Jerry (Blanche)Cox of Bolivar, TN, and Tony Cox of Memphis, TN; a stepson, Tarik (Alexis)Robinson of Delton, FL; a step grandson, Jacob Brown of Delton, FL; a step granddaughter, McKenzie Robinson of Murfreesboro, TN; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
