Darrell Fay Jones was born Tuesday, February 08, 1949, in Savannah, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Leslie and O.D. Jones. Mr. Jones honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending his time listening, and singing, to the R&B tunes of the 60's and 70's. Darrell was briefly married and resided in the state of Georgia. He later returned to Savannah to become a caregiver for his late father. Mr. Jones had a true passion for landscaping and lawn care as well as being able to do a variety of things for others. He was loved by most of whom he encountered.

He is survived by his sister, Leslie Jones and her husband, John, of Chicago, Illinois, a niece, Evette Jones, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
