Edgar Eugene Russell was born on Saturday, December 05, 1953, to the late Johnnie and Mabel Russell.  Eugene accepted Christ at an early age. He attended St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, TN under the leadership of Pastor Lance Robinson. Eugene attended Dunbar School in Savannah, TN and graduated in 1972 from Central High School in Savannah. He attended Jacksonville Theological School and Wisconsin Decision Center.  Eugene was employed at Bruce Flooring for a few years, where he worked his way up to supervisor. He drove a truck twenty-five years for Schneider National, until his retirement. Our Heavenly Father called Edgar Eugene Russell home on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

Eugene was also preceded in death by three brothers, Junior Russell, Harold Russell and Robert Russell.

Eugene leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and dedicated wife, Lois Borner Russell of twenty-eight years; two daughters, Genna Russell and Tumika Russell Perkins; one grandson, Asa Perkins; one  granddaughter, Ava Perkins; one brother, Oscar (Debra) Russell; one sister, Frances Burge; six brothers-in-law, Minister Homer (Brenda) Watson, Thomas  (Tammy) Borner, Billy Ray (Tracey) Borner, Willie Borner, James Borner, Robert Borner; two sisters-in-law, Classie Simmons, and Dorthey  Wynn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
