Joyce Kathryn Wollwert age 81, of Selmer, TN passed to her eternal home with Jesus Tuesday, Nov 8, 2022, at AHC McNary County Nursing Home in Selmer, Tennessee.

Joyce Kathryn Bertels was born on Jan 8, 1941, in Aurora, IL. The daughter of Reinhold Bertels and Lucille Agnes Heinz. She graduated from Madonna Catholic High School in Aurora. On September 17, 1960, Joyce was united in marriage to Richard Allen Wollwert.

They moved with their family to Hayward, WI in 1980. Joyce accepted Christ as her savior and attended, with her husband, Northern Lights Christian Center for 27 years.  Joyce was a devoted woman who loved the lord, loved her family greatly, her church, all animals and life in general. Her greatest blessing and joy centered around raising her family and instilling Christian values. She was a true animal lover who cared for her own dogs and cats as well as many rescue cats. She cared deeply for her family and pets because of who she was.

She is survived by her brother Edward Bertels (Kathleen) of Eldridge, IA, and sister Janet Bugajski (Joseph) of Santa Clara, CA; Her four children, Edward Wollwert (Miraleine), of Hayward, Thomas Wollwert (Susan), of Dallas, TX, Ronald Wollwert (Paula), of Selmer, TN, Sharon Idarraga (John Paul), of Eau Claire, WI; Her nine grandchildren, Brock Wollwert, Nick Wollwert, Hannah Wollwert, Joyce M. Kempf, Johnathan Idarraga, Katrina Holmes, Reina Idarraga, Tony Idarraga, Kianna Idarraga; and three great grandchildren, Kodi, Teagan and Finley.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband in 2012 and her parents. She will happily meet two brothers and a sister who passed away in infancy.

A celebration reception was held at Ron Wollwert's residence in Selmer, TN.  A graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery where she was interred with her husband of 52 years on November 28th.
