Mr. Matthew Lee James was born Tuesday, March 12, 1985 in Munster Indiana to Lynn Hill and the late Billy James.  He departed his life on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the age of 36 at  the Hardin Medical Center.

Matthew worked for Derryberry Heating and Air for the past four years.  He worked in construction with his dad from the age of sixteen.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, working and football. He was a big fan of Alabama football, his favorite team.

Matthew leaves to cherish his memory:  soulmate of eighteen years, Terra Graham; a daughter, Kayla James; a son, William James; his mother, Lynn Hill; his step-mother, Vickie James; grandmother, Joyce James; his siblings, Cody and wife Sarah James, Lyndsey Hill and fiancee Susan Daniel; Bridget Smith and fiance Cody Russell; Kelly and husband Antione Irons; Felicia and husband Moses Baxter; Nicholas Dickey and fiancee Desserae Plunk; his nephews and nieces who he loved dearly, Danny Jr. and Skye Smith, Darla and Isaiah Jackson, Madison, Kaylyn, Spencer, and Ashley James, Giovanni Hill, Noah and Ashton Williams, Kimberly and Jaylon Baxter, Keaton and Kallie Dickey, Juliann James, and Tina and Madison Graham; and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was also preceded in death by:  his nanny, Myrtle Sowell; two uncles and three aunts.
