Quincy Alan Yarbro was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 23, 1996 to Vicki Lynn Hopson and Herbert Lee Yarbro. At the age of three, he gained his bonus parents, whom he referred to as (Aunt Mama) Debra Hopson-Russell and (Uncle Daddy) Oscar (Al) Russell. He was called home on November 24, 2022 at the age of 26 years, 9 months, and 2 days.
As a child he participated in tee-ball, youth football, and Boy Scouts of America. He also was an actor in the re-enactment of The Battle of Shiloh in Corinth, Mississippi. Quincy enjoyed participating in youth group at East End United Methodist Church and visiting Graham Chapel C.M.E. Church. He was an active member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church where he was a Young People's Department officer. Quincy was a member of Hardin County High School Class of 2014. While in high school, he played on the football team and was a member of the Hardin County High School Volunteers club. After high school, he attended Jackson State Community College where he majored in Business. He went to trucking school and received his Commercial Driver's License (CDL). He was employed by Irving Material, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee. Being a dad and taking care of his family was one of his greatest accomplishments.
While making Clarksville, Tennessee his home, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his fiancé, Porsha Chappell, their twins, Londyn and Bentley, and his brother Cameron Yarbro. He also had a special bond with his nieces and nephews. He always had a contagious smile, enjoyed traveling, and easily made friends with everyone he met.
Quincy leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Herbert Lee Yarbro of Linden, Tennessee; his bonus parents, Debra Hopson Russell and Oscar (Al) Russell of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; his fiancé, Porsha Chappell of Clarksville, Tennessee; his twins Londyn and Bentley Yarbro of Clarksville, Tennessee; his siblings: Cameron Lee Yarbro of Savannah, Tennessee; Marlon Yarbro of Nashville, Tennessee; Anthony Johnson of Columbia, Tennessee; and Latonya Collier Hodges of Nashville, Tennessee; Jon Russell of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; Tammi Russell of Savannah, Tennessee; his fiancé's parents whom he loved and cherished, Rick and Latoshia Phinnesse of Grand Junction, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Vicki Lynn Hopson; Grandmothers, Bernice E. Hopson and Peggy Vaughn Yarbro; Grandfathers, A.G. Hopson and Herbert Yarbro; Great Aunt, Lula McClellan; Uncles, Roger Hopson, Paul Robinson, Roy Lynn Walker, Wayne Yarbro, and Jeffery Yarbro; Aunts, Bertha Hopson, Freda Jane Yarbro, and Deborah Bumpous Hopson.
