Obituary

On Friday, July 25, 1960 Randy Wayne Williams was born to Virginia E. Williams and  the late George Preston Williams at Bethel Springs, TN.  In my early childhood years, I attended Old McNairy County School, Bethel Springs Jr. High School and graduated from McNairy Central High School in 1980.  At an early age I professed a hope and gave my life to Christ at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  While I attended church I served in the Mt. Zion Jr. Choir and then later joined the Usher Board.

As a teenager I took a leap of faith and begin working in several factories in McNairy County. I was a painter, did yard work, and loved to fish.  My favorite hobbies were cooking, dancing, making people laugh, and making ice tea on Sunday morning's.

God saw that I was getting weary on this journey and called me to my heavenly home early in the morning on Friday, November 04, 2022.  I was also preceded in death by:  my brother, James Earl Williams; a great niece and a great nephew, Ja'Nese and Jaylan Phinnessee; and both my paternal and maternal grandparents.

I leave to cherish my memory;  my mother, Virginia Williams of Bethel Springs, TN; my sisters, Teresia Brown of Bethel Springs, TN, Sylvia Smith of Detroit, MI, Joinna Dubose and Yolanda (Dwight) Brown of Bethel Springs, TN, and Donatella Williams of Arlington, TN; a god sister, Barbara Goffner of Evansville, IN; four nieces, Yolanda Smith, Brittany Brown, Bria Smith, and Kindra Brown; two nephews, Tony Smith, Jr. and Melvin (Lauren) Dubose, Jr.; three great nieces, Ja'Liyah Phinnessee, Brooklyn Dubose, and Ka'Toya Smith; three great nephews, Bentley Dubose, Kyrie Joy, and Khylan Shannon that I loved and cherished; two aunts, Ann Prather and Ina (Billy) Fulton both of Selmer, TN; an uncle, William C. Lusk of Kansas, MO; a special friend whom I called "Mother" Bertha Williams; and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

Now that I am gone don't cry for me, 'cause I lived everyday to the fullest; cooking, dancing, fishing, and laughing.  I shared a lot of unforgettable moments with my "brothers from another mother", Robert Brown, Tyrio Jefferies, Anthony Brown, Mose Goffner, and Pastor Leon Taylor, remember me and those good times forever.

LOVE ALWAYS, "RAMBO"
