Robert L. Calbert, Sr. bid farewell to his earthly life in exchange for everlasting life on November 15, 2023. He was born to the late John Henry Calbert, Sr. And Mary Elizabeth Calbert in Sunflower, MS. He leaves to cherish his memories:  two sons, Robert Calbert, Jr. Of Vicksburg, MS, and Cameron Calbert of Monroe, MI; two stepdaughters, Renita  Bride of Vicksburg, MS and Stacey Jackson of Toledo, OH; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.​

His siblings​:  one brother, Frankie Lee (LeeAnn) Calbert of Savanah, TN; five sisters, Verlean Fairley of Selmer, TN, Lillie Calbert of Moorhead, MS, Mazzie Williams of Racine, WI, twin, Rosie Lee Miller of Saginaw, MI, and Martha (Charles) Robinson of Killeen, TX.; he also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.​

Robert was preceded in death by his loving parents;  John Henry Calbert, Sr and Mary E. Smith Calbert; four brothers, Houston Neal, Henry Issac Calvert, Fenlia Calbert, John H. Calbert, Jr. and Chorcey Calbert; five Sisters, Zerlean Calbert, Earcean Washington, Mary Gaston, Ren Ella Hampton, and Rhoda Davis.​
