Ruth Willene Smyth was born March 20, 1959 to parents, Darald D. Smyth and Mary E.Smyth. Ruth passed peacefully on December 14, 2025 in Henderson, TN surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was a kind and generous soul who would have gladly given the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She worked for more than 30 years at Bodine/Phillips in Collierville, Tennessee

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darald D. Smyth and Mary E. Rudd. Additionally, she was preceded by sisters Linda C. Plunk and Jean Marie Smyth.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory siblings James L.Plunk (Kathy) of Twin Falls, Idaho; Annette Jackson (Jim) of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; Darlene Smyth Moody (Rudy) of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; Debí Richardson (Mike) of Mayfield, Kentucky; David Rudd (Tess) of Jackson, Tennessee; and Robin Skidmore of Alliance, Ohio. She further leaves numerous nieces and nephews as well as friends who have become like family, Sandra Anthony (Melvin of Collierville, Tennessee; Casey Bryant (Kinley); Shirley Reuter (Perry) of Dickeyville, Wisconsin; and dedicated caregiver, Diane Connell (Neil).

There will be a private family service at a future date and her ashes will be scattered at her favorite spot per her request.
