Ms. Shirley Diane Bivens was born on Saturday, April 19, 1947 in Memphis, TN to the union of  Ritha May and the late Roy Melvin Franks.  She departed this life on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS.

Shirley was a loving, kind hearted woman. She was big on family, she loved having her family around at all times.  Shirley was a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother and boy did she love her grandkids.  She loved to play dress up with the girls and would play cowboys and Indians with the boys.  Shirley loved holidays as well, she would do Easter egg hunts with all the kids and on Halloween she would make special candy bags for her grandkids and great grandkids.  Her family loved her just as much as she loved them and she will be missed dearly.

She leaves to cherish her memory:  three daughters, Marie Mooney, Tabitha Simpson, and Margret Yarbrough; two sons, John Glass and James Glass; seven grandchildren, Tony Glass, Tiffany Guy, Christy Schnieder, Larry King, Johnathon Glass, Hannah Williamson, and R J Jackson; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a special friend, Granville Walker, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
