Walter 'W.H.' McElrath

Walter McElrath of Selmer, TN was born in Dyersburg, TN on Monday, December 02, 1940,  the son of the late Rev. Halbert and Mary Alice McElrath.  He departed this life on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the age of 79.

He lived and worked in Lansing, Michigan for 30 years before retiring and returning to Selmer, TN.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  Graveside services were held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Selmer, TN with Selmer Mortuary in charge.

W.H. leaves to cherish his memories:  a sister, Mary S. McElrath of Selmer, TN; three brothers, James McElrath of Selmer, TN, Harlan McElrath of Jackson, TN, and Wilbert McElrath of Nashville, TN; a brother in law, Dave Holmes of Selmer, TN; three sisters in law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
