Mr. Walter Grady Prather was born on Tuesday, January 24, 1950 to the late James Laney and Cleopatra Bishop Prather.  He departed this life Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, TN.
He was a faithful member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church until his health failed him. He loved to sing, his favorite song was " If You Have to Reach Way Down, Jesus Will Pick You Up.  Walter was a good neighbor and friend to everyone he met.  He loved telling "Jokes" to his family and friends.
Walter was married to Matilda Prather, who preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory:  one brother, Elder Jerry (Darlene) Prather; one sister, Anita Ann Prather; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  He will be missed by all that knew him.
