Louise Robinson, known by many as Weezy, was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend. She never met a stranger, even if afterwards she could not remember your name. She was born Sunday, May 20, 1951, to Sam and Grace Stricklin Robinson. She attended Selmer High School and was a part of the first graduating class at McNairy Central. She worked at Brown Shoe and ITT before it was closed but not before putting in nearly 28 yrs. She was Saved, Sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost. She attended North Selmer Pentecostal, New Jerusalem and Life Tabernacle. She was a firm believer in the power of prayer and the word of God. She referred to herself as an “Ole School Christian.”
She contracted Covid-19 in September 2020 and has been fighting since. She was a fighter and believed that its all in God’s timing. On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, even though we wanted her to be here longer, God was ready to bring his disciple home.
Besides her parents, Louise is preceded in death by: twin sister, Lillie Ruth; siblings, Mable Roberts, Minnie Jo Cherry, Johnny Stricklin, Wendell Robinson, and Pius Robinson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her children Tiffany Robinson and Ruth Clark both of Selmer, TN and her son Pierre Robinson (Tony) of Savannah, TN; her grandchildren, who she loved immensely, Chiquita Tatum of Selmer, TN, Lorenzo Clark of Savannah, TN, DeAndre Robinson of McKenzie, TN, and Demetrious Clark of Selmer, TN; great grands, who did no wrong in her eyes, Bryson Lee Clark, Kingston Cummings, and Liam Clark; her siblings Melinda Sanders of Selmer, TN, Larry Frank Robinson of Savannah, TN, and James Robinson of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who she loved dearly.
