The Early years: Yvonne Denise Davis was born to the late William Roscoe Churchwell and Mary Churchwell on Saturday, August 1, 1959 in Clifton, Tennessee. Yvonne gained her wings on Wednesday, September 30, 2021 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was affectionately called “Nesie" by her loved ones.
Yvonne confessed her faith in Christ at the age of 13. She continued her faith journey at Community Baptist Church.
Yvonne went to school in Davidson County school system until the 9th grade and then moved to Clifton her 10th grade year. She finished her education by obtaining a GED. In 1981 Yvonne attended nursing school and became an LPN. She was a member of the Queen of the South Chapter 11 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Hospice nurse for many years before her health began to fail, which at that time she moved to home health. Working as a home health nurse she dedicated herself to caring and taking care of other people.
Yvonne married the love of her life Clarence Davis on Wednesday, August 26, 1998. They lived in marital bliss for twenty-three years.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Alma Faye French.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Clarence Davis; two daughters, Monica (Claude) Mason and Candis Churchwell; three sons, Broderick (Kia) Churchwell, Terrance (Nikitia) Churchwell and Ottier “Boom” Churchwell, four sisters, Carolyn (William) French, Elise Westbrooks, Janette Churchwell, and Shirley Maclin; 20 grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; who will miss her dearly.
